The Registrar of Titles, the Deputy Registrar of Titles and the Assistant Registrars of Titles, according to the Land Registration Act can carry out the functions of a Notary Public.

A Notary Public is an official appointed under the Laws of Barbados.  Certain documents must be notarized in order to have legal effect.

In many instances, a notary public is required to witness the execution of documents to be used in legal transactions occurring in foreign jurisdictions. Another common function of a Notary Public is to declare copies of documents as true and correct.

All persons presenting before a Notary Public should produce valid identification, including:

  • A Valid Passport
  • A Valid Barbados Driving License
  • A Valid Barbados Identification Card
